Comments policy

We welcome your comments on material we post on this blog. Let us know what you think!

Keep in mind that it’s we solar scientists who maintain this blog. Your questions and feedback go straight to us – not to a professional press secretary. We’d really appreciate it if you show courtesy and goodwill in what you write. Any inappropriate content like personal attacks, hateful language or spam will be deleted.

Please also remember that this is a blog about solar energy science and technology, and comments unrelated to this field will not be posted – firstly because we’re probably not qualified to answer them, and secondly because we’d prefer to spend our time working on our solar research. On a similar note, you should keep in mind that CSIRO is an organisation dedicated to providing impartial scientific information, and as such, this blog isn’t a place where we’ll be discussing government policy. Your comment is also much more likely to be posted if it’s relevant to the discussion at hand, and not just a vehicle to spruik your own product or service!

The comment section is moderated which means there will be a delay before your submissions appear on the blog. Please be patient – any wait you experience is probably because we’re busy in the lab or down in the solar field. The decision to post or remove comments is solely at our discretion.

With all that said – we look forward to hearing from you.
